What if I have a disability that makes using Chip & PIN difficult?

If you have a disability that makes it difficult for you to use or remember a PIN, call your card issuer for advice. If you have a Barclays debit card, contact any branch or Telephone Banking for help. If you have a Barclaycard, call 0870 4133 233*.

Any cardholder who feels that they may have a genuine problem using a Chip & PIN card can request a Chip and Signature card instead, which will enable them to continue to sign at point of sale.

PIN keypads have been designed with features such as a raised dot on the number five key and have flexible leads to help customers with visual and mobility impairments.
