Will I have to give my PIN online or over the phone?
Never give your PIN out over the phone, the Internet or in the post. You'll pay for things over the phone, the Internet or mail order in the same way you do now - by giving out the card number on the front of your card and any security code (this is usually a three-digit code on the signature strip of your card).
Only use your PIN where you or the assistant can physically put your card in a Chip & PIN till or PIN pad - in a shop, restaurant, petrol station etc - or at a cash machine.
