Ask a question

Do you offer a basic bank account?

Yes, the Barclays basic bank account is called the Cash Card Account. It suits people who may not be able to open a regular current account. Chequebooks and overdrafts are not available with this account but you do get a cash or debit card for withdrawing money.

If you’re looking for a straightforward bank account with a debit card, chequebook and overdraft facility (subject to approval), you can apply for a Barclays Bank Account. See our current accounts page for more details.
