What are Debit, Connect and VISA Electron cards?
With a debit card you can pay for goods in shops and withdraw money at cash machines. The money is automatically taken from your current account when you spend. You must therefore have funds in your account or an agreed overdraft to cover the transaction. Connect and VISA Electron cards are debit cards.
