How do I move an account to Barclays?
To switch your account to Barclays, register for our free Account Transfer Service. We'll transfer all your standing orders and Direct Debits from your old account to your Barclays account. We'll match your existing overdraft facility and cheque guarantee limit up to £100 (subject to status) and even arrange to close your old account for you if you wish.
Under normal circumstances we'd expect the transfer to be completed within five weeks but this will depend on how quickly we can get your details from your existing bank. You'll need to complete a separate form for each account you want to transfer although we can arrange to transfer your accounts together on the same day.
