How do I get a new PIN?

You can change your debit card PIN at any Barclays cash machine - select 'Other services' or 'PIN services' and 'Select a new PIN'. You can choose your own PIN but avoid using numbers that are easily identifiable, eg 1111, 1234 etc.

Alternatively, you can get a reminder of your PIN through the post by contacting your branch or calling Telephone Banking (if you're registered) on 08457 555555. Your PIN reminder will be sent to the same address as your chequebook within three to five working days.

If you have a Barclaycard, you can get a new PIN by calling 0844 811 9111 or 0800 587 2104 (Textphone)†. Lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you need a new PIN because yours may have been discovered or it's been lost or stolen with your card, call Lost and Stolen immediately on 01604 230 230† (24 hours) to prevent anyone using it. You'll be sent a new PIN.

† To maintain a quality service, we may monitor or record phone calls. Read call charges info.
