What is APR?

The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) shows the overall cost of the credit for comparison purposes, expressed as an annual rate of charge. It's a valuable tool that allows you to compare how much different offers of credit will cost before you decide whether to enter into an agreement. The APR calculation includes the interest payable on the credit, various charges (such as an arrangement fee) and any other costs associated with obtaining the credit.
