How much notice do I need to give to cancel standing orders, Direct Debits and future-dated payments?
You can cancel standing orders, Direct Debits and future-dated payments online but you will need to do this at least one working day before the payment is due to be taken out of your account and before 5.30pm. For example, if you want to cancel a payment that’s due on Monday, you need to tell us before 5.30pm on Friday. If you need to cancel the payment after this deadline, you should contact your branch or Telephone Banking (if you’re registered). When cancelling a Direct Debit you also need to contact the person or company you're paying.
