Can I have a mini and maxi ISA in the same tax year?
From April 2008, the distinction between mini and maxi ISAs was removed. You can now subscribe to either a cash ISA, a stocks and shares ISA or both.
You can save up to £3,600* per tax year in a cash ISA and up to £7,200* per tax year in a stocks and shares ISA subject to an overall limit of £7,200. Find out what ISAs we offer or see our ISA guide.
*ISA limit changes: As from 6 October 2009, ISA limits will be increasing for those customers who will be 50 or over on 5 April 2010 (ie born on or before 5 April 1960). The ISA limits will increase from £3,600 to £5,100 in a cash ISA and from £7,200 to £10,200 in total to cash ISA and Stocks and Shares (investment) ISA.
From 6 April 2010 the new limits will apply to all customers.
