Do I need to hold a current account with Barclays to have a Monthly Savings or e-savings accounts?
If you want to open a Monthly Savings account you do not need to hold a Barclays current account.
e-savings is an exclusive account only available to Barclays customers who are registered for Online Banking, therefore you do need to hold a current account with Barclays before you can apply for e-savings.
All of our savings accounts (except e-savings) can be applied for in branch if you are new to Barclays.
If you are new to Barclays and want to apply online for a savings account you can open an e-savings Reward account.
