Can I use my Connect and Electron debit card when I'm abroad?
Yes, you can use your Connect or VISA Electron debit card in thousands of cash machines overseas.
If you're planning to travel, it's best to let us know in advance to help avoid difficulties with using your card. If you use Online Banking, you can tell us when and where you plan to go abroad by using the Use Debit Card Abroad form - you'll find it in the menu of your At a Glance page. This applies to debit cards only.
If you use your debit card in cash machines belonging to our Global Alliance, you won't have to pay certain transaction charges. See our page on the Global Alliance.
