You can make a payment in Online Banking, in any Barclays branch, or call Telephone Banking (if you're registered) on 0845 755 5555 1.
How to make a payment in Online Banking
You can easily make payments by selecting the Make a Payments link (1) in the ‘Account Services' menu on your Online Banking homepage.
Use this link to pay individuals, organisations or bills, such as your Barclaycard or other credit card bills.
Making a payment is a 3-step process
- Enter payment details
- Confirm details
- Receive receipt
1. Enter payment details
If you've made a payment to this person or credit card previously, their details will be on your payee list (2). If you haven't paid them before, you'll need PINsentry (either the card reader or Mobile PINsentry) as well as the name of the person you're paying, their sort code and account number.
During step 1 you will be asked to type a reference (3). If you're paying a credit card, this should be your 16-digit credit card number. For other companies, it could be your account or reference number. For individuals, it can be anything that will be helpful for you (and the person you're paying) to identify the payment.
2. Confirm details
Please make sure you check the payment details carefully before you confirm the payment.
3. Receive receipt
You'll see a screen confirming all the details of your payment, including the expected time it will take to reach the account.
