International payments and transfers. How do I receive money from abroad?
You need to provide the sender with your bank sort code and account number (IBAN for payments from Europe), full name, address, country and bank number (for Barclays UK this is the SWIFT code BARCGB22) and the amount and the currency you want to receive the payment in. As there are charges for inward payments, you'll need to agree with the sender who is going to pay them.
IBAN and SWIFTBIC are now required on all International Payments to/from Europe - to find out more visit our IBAN site.
If you make frequent international payments, Barclays International may be able to help you. Please visit our International Banking web site or call 0845 601 5910. Read call charges info.
